Bcit1:

Capitalization and italics of titles in references will vary depending on what kind of resource is involved.

In the notes below:
* ''Sentence case capitalization'' means that you capitalize only the first word of the title and the subtitle and all proper nouns.
* ''Title case capitalization'' means that you capitalize all major words.

'''Books and reports'''

- Italicize titles and subtitles; sentence case capitalization (Rule 6.29, pp. 185-186 and Rule 7.02 and 7.03 pp. 202-206.)

- Sample: ''IBISWorld industry report 52213CA: Credit unions in Canada.''

-Include report number if it helps to find the item. Put round brackets around the report number. Capitalize Research Report or whatever the category is called. The report number is not in italics. Put the period after the round brackets. ...., e.g. ''Mental health and well-being in the workplace: What works and why it makes business sense'' (Research Report R-1624-17).

'''Periodical Titles'''

- Italicize titles and subtitles; title case capitalization (Rule 6.29, pp. 185-186 and 7.01 pp. 198-202)

- Samples:
<blockquote>
''International Business Review''<br />
''BC Business''
</blockquote>

'''Article titles'''

- Do not italicize; sentence case capitalization (Rule 6.29 p. 185-186 and rule 7.01, pp. 198-202.)

- Sample: An abnormally abnormally intangible: Stock returns on customer satisfaction

'''Missing title'''

Sometimes a source has no clear title -- this can happen with sources such as tables or maps generated from searches within some databases.

In such cases, you should write a very brief description of the resource within square brackets containing information that would help your reader find or recreate the same source (table, map, etc.) For example, your square brackets might include the variables you searched for to create a table.(See [http://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2012/05/missing-pieces.html/ APA Style blog])

Example:
[Lay's Lightly Salted for Canada M&F age 12+ by province].

'''Series'''

Many business sources such as country, industry, and company reports are part of ongoing series. There are multiple ways to refer to such series. For consistency and simplicity we have chosen to create a single title in the format, ''Series title: Report title''.

Examples: <br />
''Country reports: Mexico''<br />
''Company profile: BlackBerry Limited''

Capitalize Research Report. The report number is not in italics. Put the period after the round brakets. ...., e.g. ''Mental health and well-being in the workplace: What works and why it makes business sense'' (Research Report R-1624-17).

'''Periodical Titles'''

- Italicize titles and subtitles; title case capitalization (Rule 6.29, pp. 185-186 and 7.01 pp. 198-202)

- Samples:
<blockquote>
''International Business Review''<br />
''BC Business''
</blockquote>

Capitalization and italics of titles in references will vary depending on what kind of resource is involved.

In the notes below:
* ''Sentence case capitalization'' means that you capitalize only the first word of the title and the subtitle and all proper nouns.
* ''Title case capitalization'' means that you capitalize all major words.

'''Books and reports'''

- Italicize titles and subtitles; sentence case capitalization (Rule 6.29, pp. 185-186 and Rule 7.02 and 7.03 pp. 202-206.)

'''Periodical Titles'''

REPORTS
Provide a more specific date than simply the year, if available, in cases where new versions of the report may be published in one calendar year, as described in the Magazines, Newsletters, Newspapers section below.
WEBSITES AND WEBPAGES (See [http://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2016/11/writing-website-in-text-citations-and-references.html/ APA Style blog]).

If the publication date is not clearly mentioned at the beginning of the document, look at the end (e.g. a statement that may say something like: "this document was finalized in 1990...", so that would be the date to use).

If a footer on a webpage says, “This page was last modified on [date]”, then this is NOT the date to use. It COULD be the date that the document was published, but it may also be the date when the webmaster added some code to the page.

Some sites place a copyright date for the website at the bottom of every page. Check a few pages on the site; if the identical statement appears on every page, it’s a site-wide footer, so that’s NOT the date to use. In that case, if no actual publication date can be found, enter (n.d.).

NO DATE AVAILABLE

Use (n.d.) to indicate that there is no date available.

If you have compiled data from a variety of different sources and put it together to form your own table, you need to cite where you got the information from.

All sources that have been used to create the table's data need to be cited in a Note below the table.

You do not need to give the full bibliographic citation - Author (date) is sufficient But all of these sources should have a full entry in the Reference List.

When using multi-source data you want to describe what data is coming from where. e.g.: Note. Data for hot sauce consumption in the United States from Kantar Media (2010), for Canada from Statistics Canada (2011), and for Britain from Euromonitor International (2010b).

If you have multiple kinds of data (population figures, consumer information, etc...) in one table you would describe each set of data. e.g.: Note. Population figures for XYZ from Author (date) and for ABC from Author (date). Data for pet ownership for XYZ from Author (date) and for ABC from Author (date).

[[File:Multi table example sm (1).png]]

You should put the table # and a description of its contents above the table, and the Note and its contents below the table, including the word "adapted" for the altered the table.

The following example is for a table you have reproduced in your paper exactly as it appears in another source. (Same format or state, no reconfiguration or new analysis).

In a Note below the table you need to include: Reprinted from ''Title of Work,'' by Author. Retrieved from ... Date of Copyright by Copyright Holder.

This work must have a full bibliographic entry in your Reference List even though the information in the Note field uses a lot of the same information.
''Notes'': An example of a table reprinted from Print Management Bureau. Number the table(s), placing the word "Table" and the number above the title. The table and note below should appear in a relevant place in your paper, and include text referring to the table by its number- ". . .as shown in Table 1, less than 40% of the households surveyed stated they regularly consume hot sauce..."

- Sample: ''Credit unions in Canada: IBISWorld industry report 52213CA''

'''Periodical Titles'''

- Italicize titles and subtitles; title case capitalization (Rule 6.29, pp. 185-186 and 7.01 pp. 198-202)

- Samples:
<blockquote>
''International Business Review''<br />
''BC Business''
</blockquote>

In such cases, you should write a very brief description of the resource within square brackets containing information that would help your reader find or recreate the same source (table, map, etc.) For example, your square brackets might include the variables you searched for to create a table.

Some sites place a copyright date for the website at the bottom of every page. Check a few pages on the site; if the identical statement appears on every page, it’s a site-wide footer, so that’s NOT the date to use. In that case, if no actual publication date can be found, enter (n.d.).
